A local Bangla New Years (Pohela Boishakh | পহেলা বৈশাখ) celebration will have my cello student, Nediva Akand, performing my solo cello adaptation of the Amar Shonar Bangla (আমার সোনার বাংলা), the national anthem of Bangladesh, as well as other local community performances. The event is sponsored by the Bangladesh Student Association of University of Louisville.
